Sleep, temperature and comfort are closely intertwined, and all mammals exhibit behaviors that aim to create a comfortable sleeping environment — from the little mouse that settles in its burrow to the person who buys bedding for his house. If we can keep babies at a comfortable temperature throughout the night, we can avoid waking them up unnecessarily because they are too hot or too cold.
